Opportunity Description
West Palm Beach Legal Services Agency is in need of a Paralegal ASAP. This is a contract role with an opportunity for growth.
We are looking for compassionat individuals to directly support the public.
Job Duties
Perform client intake calls and determine eligibilty of services
Assist with litigation discovery.
Draft pleadings
Conduct research
Attends strategy sessions, case meetings/depositions and or hearings.
E-files pleadings with court clerk.
General administrative duties.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organization
Management or related field required. Paralegal degree or related work experience
required – may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Experience & Skills Required
Knowledge of current fair housing and landlord-tenant laws
Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
Assist in development of marketing materials including drafting flyers, booklets, social media content.
