Opportunity Description
International Publishing Corporation located in New York City is looking for a Rights Coordinator to join their Cover Art Rights team on a contract basis.
The Cover Art Rights teams clears and manages the rights to the artwork used on book covers. They license third-party content to be used on book covers, advise internally on contract negotiations, as well as license out to third-party publishers cover art for foreign editions of books, and manage and track art rights internally.
Job Duties
- The coordinator role manages paying, tracking, and coding invoices for licenses
- Set up new vendors in the vendor registration portal
- Handle the licensing of artwork to foreign third-party and affiliates publishers
- Transferring production files for cover art
- Billing for these licenses.
Experience & Skills Required
- Knowledge of rights management and basic intellectual property concepts
- Publishing, Copywriting, Editorial experience preferred
- Previous experience with invoicing and new vendor systems is highly beneficial
- Advanced MS Office skills
