Job Duties
- Educate customers about the quality of our product line, service and how it will benefit their business.
- Introduce/sell products based on customer type and current menu offering via phone.
- Introduce/sell new items launched.
- Maintain a record of products placed through up-selling.
- Maintain a record of new item placed.
- All phases of order entry.
- Keep line of communication open to sales people in the field and provide requested data to support sales.
- Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explain the best solution to solve problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
- Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.
- Manage and track payments.
- Manage and track overdue collection.
- Communicate to team/other departments the status of receivables.
- Be able to work in a team oriented environment.
Experience & Skills Required
- Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
- Some customer service experience, food industry experience a ++
- Must be self motivated
- Multi-tasking
- Analyzing information
- Phone skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and
- providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Knowledge of the food service industry preferred
