Opportunity Description
Sr. Citrix Engineer needed for a direct hire position in the healthcare industry in Melville, NY. As the Sr. Citrix Engineer, you will design, deploy, upgrade and optimize the performance of servers and related systems in assigned technology specialty in support of customer business objectives and within established timelines. Participates in performance improvement initiatives including documenting resolution issues, providing data on team performance metrics and mentoring and educating lower level staff.
Job Duties
- Provide technical expertise and support to ensuring all service level agreements, project deliverables, and customer commitments are being met.
- Provide Team Members and Management, updates on the current status of incidents, changes, and requests.
- Provide Expert level (Tier 3) knowledge of Windows 2003, Windows 2008 and Windows 2012 and Windows 2016 Server Operating Systems.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of the Server operations environment, with a focus on continuous service improvement.
- Respond to monitoring alerts and identify areas which could be improved.
- Collaborate with colleagues and peers, in the development and implementation of strategic plans, for supporting the company’s Citrix, VMware and Active Directory infrastructure environment.
- Required to be present in each patch deployment maintenance window.
- Each of these 10 windows per quarter are outside on normal business hours.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Business Administration, required.
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum of five (5) years systems engineering support and maintenance experience in assigned technology area, in a highly available and complex mission-critical environment, required.
OR
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years systems engineering support and maintenance experience in assigned technology area, in a highly available and complex mission-critical environment, required.
- AND
- MCSE or CISCO certification, highly preferred.
