We are currently seeking an Energy Sales Associate to fulfill an opening we have in Chicago, IL in the financial services industry. The Energy Sales Associate needs to be an enthusiastic individual who is looking to contribute to a new business initiative.

Job Duties

  • Establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with end users in the energy space. 
  • Cover all energy counterparties by providing pricing, market color and execution. 
  • Work closely with energy derivatives traders to understand client's trading strategies and execute participant orders.
  • Send out daily market volatility emails to provide market insight to end users.
  • Develop participant profiles, reports, and analysis. 
  • Attend conferences and seminars for related products. 
  • Create a relationship management tool. 
  • Develop and maintain marketing content as it pertains to direct trading initiatives. 

Experience & Skills Required

  • 3 - 5 years experience in a sales trading or sales associate role, with a focus on energy derivatives.  
  • Strong knowledge of the market and its participants.
  • Existing contact with energy derivatives end users and the ability to rapidly build a book of clients from industry contacts.
  • Deep understanding of rules and regulations governing the markets we trade.
  • Strong communication skills and self-assurance.
  • Competitive attitude and eagerness to constantly improve.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Willingness to travel and meet face to face with end users. 
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
