Opportunity Description

Assist with the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department based on company policies, practices and culture; manage recruitment, development and training, individual performance, productivity and employee satisfaction to provide the best possible staffing needed to achieve the company objectives.  Responsible for food safety and quality and reporting deviations to key authority personnel.

Job Duties

  • Organizational and departmental planning in conjunction with the management team
  • Optimize processes and costs within the department
  • Insure and implement security directives, policies, processes and measures
  • Employee on-boarding - orientation, personnel file development and maintenance, and data entry in all systems as appropriate based on role, location and interaction
  • Assist with Recruitment and staffing - recruitment, administration, engagement, retention, terminations and management of all Temporary staff
  • Performance management – assist local team documentation process for consistency & appropriate measures 
  • Assist to assure compliance with all Federal, State and Local government regulations and agencies (Title VII, OSHA, FMLA, FLSA, NJ Disability, ADA, ADEA, COBRA, WC, DOL, UC, etc.)
  • Engage in creating ad facilitating training where appropriate for HR or collaborative initiatives
  • Engage in policy development and implementation
  • Assist team with conflict resolution, employee engagement, policy application, and best practices for a positive work environment  
  • Assist with, attendance, LOA, and related processes or practices
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including billing/auditing, and engage in planning process for annual updates   
  • Participate as a safety committee team member, administer HR related safety concerns, and collaborate on safety related training or recognition related initiatives
  • Liaison for Corporate global initiatives as related to tasks or activities
  • Engage in internal ethics or discrimination concerns to resolution
  • Misc. tasks as needed/assigned
  • Assist with administration of HR issued equipment (security access)
  • Assist with local engagement initiatives such as small gatherings or recognition/appreciation coordination

Education

Bachelors degree

Experience & Skills Required

  • 2-3 years HR experience
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • SHRM Certification preferred
