Opportunity Description

Our client is seeking a music and technology fan to lead our Google Cloud architectural roadmap, work with our cross-functional teams, and help lead them to its future as a Web3 industry disruptor in music and media streaming.

 

The Senior Cloud Architect is the chief strategist when it comes to our Google Cloud environment. We are looking for not only a “been there, done that” cloud practitioner, but also someone who is forward-thinking to help evolve our platform as we expand beyond content aggregation, and digital media streaming, and into Web3 technologies.

Job Duties

Responsibilities

 

  • Our client is nearly complete with its data center migration to Cloud, but this role would need to review existing artifacts and plans for efficacy
  • Post-migration, this role will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, strategizing, and designing the conversion of lifted-and-shifted systems to cloud-native (where appropriate)
  • Provide best-fit architectural and engineering solutions including sizing, scoping of work, and communication, and lead the proof-of-concept initiatives
  • Selection of additional technical processes and/or tools as required, connect with various vendors, and communicate action plans to C-level and Board-level decision-makers
  • Actively lead and participate in steering committees and technical leadership teams
  • Education

    Bachelor's Degree or relevant certification and experience.

    Google Professional Cloud Architect Certification

Experience & Skills Required

  • Google Professional Cloud Architect Certification
  • 2-5 years experience in Google Cloud Platform architecture and/or engineering
  • Experience in leading datacenter-to-cloud (lift-and-shift) initiatives as well as converting to cloud-native
  • The attitude of flexibility and independent ownership of problems and solutions, with a disciplined approach to managing multiple responsibilities with a global team
  • Expertise in container platforms (Docker, EKS)
    • Web3 experience, preferably on the Algorand protocol, but also with experience in on-chain connectivity, and Web2 to Web3 interfacing
    • Certifications

      • Google Professional Cloud Architect Certification
