Opportunity Description

Expanding Biosciences corporation located in the Boston area in need of an experienced R & D Technician to join their team to assemble plastic / polymer medical diagnostic prototypes. 

Job Duties

  • Follow written procedures in the assembly of plastic/polymer medical diagnostic prototypes
  • Maintains batch records for various assemblies
  • Maintain inventory records of raw materials and finished prototypes
  • Records and reports problems with quality, process, equipment
  • Recommend improvements to processes as necessary
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate the manufacture
  • Cross-train other individuals in processes as necessary

Experience & Skills Required

  • 2+ years of industry experience in the Diagnostic and/or medical device space 
  • Well organized, detail-oriented
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manipulate small hand tools, tweezers
  • Experience assembling small devices with pressure sensor adhesive
  • Experience working with assemblies in a glove box or similar equipment preferred
  • Experience working in a 5S environment preferred
  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience a plus
  • Start-up R&D environment experience preferred
  • Experience with fluid handling using pipettes and similar laboratory tools preferred
