Responsible for developing a total rewards strategy to enhance the company’s capability to attract and retain key talents, building and maintaining a job grading and salary structure, establishing and revising a remuneration and incentive system and processes, as well as ensure accurate and efficient payroll and bene 

This position manages the North America benefit program for US and Canada, in addition to the  international program for expatriates.. The Benefits Manager plans and implements benefit programs that maximize benefit and tax-sheltered opportunities for partners and enhance the recruitment and retention of our talent. Responsible for strategic planning and administration of benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment, and disability, as well as qualified and non-qualified retirement plans; researches market to determine competitive plans and stays abreast of latest benefit trends, legal issues, and cost containment initiatives. Plans and executes Annual Open Enrollment to ensure all staff are educated on options and have selected appropriate benefit program; Works closely with benefit consultant to develop requests for proposals, evaluate the responses, and develop pricing for benefit plan selections.  Represents the firm in negotiations and problem resolutions with third-party administrators or insurers of all benefit plans; ensures that vendor performance meets the high expectations of the firm’s lawyers and staff. 

Overall responsibility for administering the 401K plan and all associated tasks. Assures firm compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and that appropriate reports (forms 5500) are filed timely with the Internal Revenue Service and annual retirement audits are completed timely; assures compliance with Department of Labor requirements and prepares responses to plan audits if necessary.  Assures firm compliance with all benefit -related federal, state, and local regulations, to include COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation, OSHA, and USERRA.

Job Duties

  • Maintain a structured compensation and benefits system and processes to enhance the company’s competitive capability to attract and retain key talents in the market based on the company’s total rewards philosophy and positioning in the market.
  • Communicate and train management on how to best leverage the compensation and benefits tools and resources to attract and retain key talents
  • Continued evaluation of best practices and upcoming trends in the total rewards area, reflect on the implications to the company and propose options to enhance our compensation and benefits practices
  • Develop Open Enrollment Program utilizing technology 
  • Manage payroll process to include the deduction for all contributory benefits 
  • Design or revise current compensation or benefits programs based on changes in the company’s business models or organizational changes driven by internal or external factors
  • Ensure the compliance of HR compensation, benefit and leave practices with the local, state and  FLSA requirements 
  • Oversee payroll execution to ensure accuracy and process to ensure timely payment
  • Administration of the 401K plan
  • Administer various compensation & benefit programs.
  • Review and streamline existing compensation and benefits administration policies on a continuous basis
  • Educate management on the use of non-financial rewards as an important motivational tool to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Design and implement various non-financial recognition and reward programs
  • Work with Finance Department on constantly monitoring salary and benefits costs and its impact on the effective running of the business and P&L
  • Define Leave programs and associated actions to support required tracking and compensation as expected.
  • Support the HR Managers on developing a HR strategy in alignment with the company objectives.
  • Coach and train the HR team staff to continuously improve HR knowledge and skills in Total Rewards to enhance overall HR capabilities.


A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management

Experience & Skills Required

  • 5 years in HR Management of Total Rewards, Benefits, Compensation
  • Overall 7- 10 years of experience in compensation and benefits/performance management
  • Experienced in building and maintaining a systematic job grading and salary structure Implemented actions to enhance competitiveness of the company in attracting and retaining talents.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and oversee payroll activities
  • Proven track record in driving an effective performance management system to enhance the performance level of the company to drive business growth
  • Strongly analytical with numbers and attention to details
  • Demonstrated ability handle multiple priorities under tight schedule.
  • Can quickly identify the key problems in complex situation, and propose feasible solutions.
  • Demonstrate key capabilities in project planning and management and deliver results.
  • Independent, resourceful, well-organized, self-motivated and adaptable
