Opportunity Description

Our Client, one of the top 75 chemicals distributors in America, is seeking an Import/Export Coordinator to join their Customer Service Team. The goal is to provide world class support to our internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the delivery of various products globally and domestically. Through continuous communication and diligent record keeping, you will interface with our Sales Team, logistics partners, Material Planning Departments, Internal Regulatory Team and Customers.

Job Duties

As an Import/Export Coordinator, you will:

  • Work with Managers in coordinating all aspects of the importation and warehousing of product
  • Maintain importation/exportation files on every relevant Purchase and Sales Order and shipping paperwork
  • Coordinate the receiving and sending of orders with every business partner in the supply chain
  • Work with customs brokers in coordinating all aspects of the importation and/or exportation of products
  • Work with the sales teams and other departments to coordinate customer inquiries, planning, and quality control
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers on deal order confirmations and details 
  • Update internal ERP systems on deals and deal related costs
  • Arrange product billing, invoice approvals, and inventory management
  • Schedule transportation for customer shipments and maintaining a current list of approved logistic companies
  • Interact with external warehouse managers to ensure that orders are shipped timely and received properly

Education

Education:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent a plus

Experience & Skills Required

Experience & Skills:

  • First and foremost a strong work ethic and a good, organized business sense in a family atmosphere is essential.  The willingness to be part of a team
  • 3-6 Logistics Experience, especially as it pertains to working with brokers, customs, and freight lines
  • Experience with air shipments, small parcel logistics, Hazmat and DEA documentation would be favorable
  • Customer Service experience a plus 
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Applications and inventory control programs. Experience with Datacor/Chempax a plus.
