Opportunity Description

The Production Supervisor is to supervise and develop our manufacturing staff and coordinate the daily operations of manufacturing and shipping/receiving functions while ensuring a safe and compliant environment.  

 

Job Duties

  • Management of daily floor/venue activities, operator performance, process flow and pace, best manufacturing practices and execution of production schedule for on time delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager on improving the productivity and efficiency of daily operations (equipment and operators).
  • Knowledge and capability to perform all Production and Chemical Operator requirements, be ready to support all production roles as needed.
  • Responsible for quality management training (new documents/new revisions/re-training and cross-training opportunities) and execution of training plans for the production staff.
  • Responsible for the quality of products in line with the company quality management system, procedures and processes.  
  • Responsible for the accuracy of controlled documentation, batch records, meters, forms, reporting and training / employee certification.
  • Responsible for the execution of all performance verification processes, cleaning procedures, heal and flush logs, and all equipment (non-dedicated) logs.
  • Support all business partners/areas with information related to the status of customer orders, consumable materials, quality issues and employee safety concerns.
  • Manage, motivate, develop, discipline and counsel production staff
  • Monitor, measure and report on departmental KPIs and overall performance for production related equipment, activities and operators.
  • Ensure that robust and timely communication is given both verbally and written.

Education

  • Associates degree

Experience & Skills Required

  • Previous Supervisory or Lead experience 
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with multiple departments 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively 
  • Proven attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment 
  • GMP, ISO, Lean experience 
  • General Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel/Word) experience 
  • Forklift experience and prior certification is a plus
  • Chemical Industry experience (DOT) 
  • Filling Process and Equipment experience
