Opportunity Description

Responsibilities include supporting the Director on delivering a professional international mobility service across North America. Ensure adherence to global expat guidelines, mobility policies, corporate processes, compliance, and best practices. Provide comprehensive support and coordination for ex-pats (including incoming Japanese ex-pats), and short-term and long-term overseas assignments for employees linked to NA. Additional HR Generalist duties and responsibilities as required.

Job Duties

  • Support preparation of transfer approval process, including cost projections and other internal compliance documents. 
  • Prepare compensation package using cost of living calculation tools as well as gross to net calculator i.e. Mercer Compensation Tool 
  • Draft transfer/secondment letters ensuring all details are correct and accurate in line with GHQ and NA expat policy or transfer policy for review by Director. 
  • Conduct briefing calls with potential transferees to advise on process and establish good working relationships. 
  • Work with NA Legal to identify the correct immigration 
  • Initiate and ensure effective service delivery of third-party service providers supporting household goods shipment, temporary accommodation, home search.
  • Liaise with internal Stakeholders in HR and other functions to set expectations and facilitate a smooth transfer including onboarding activities.
  • HR Generalist duties to include recruiting and staffing;, organizational departmental planning, performance management and improvement systems

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable work experience

Experience & Skills Required

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in HR within a commercial environment (essential
  • Prioritizing workload in fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Demonstrating good judgment, seeking advice when needed, and ensuring serious matters are escalated quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to empathize and navigate around cultural differences.
